Recent Competition Highlights

September and October brought us some unforgettable moments:

  • Skate Canada International (Saskatoon, SK)
    • Men’s Singles: Ilia Malinin (USA) stole the show with a record-breaking free skate, but Canadian fans cheered loudly for homegrown talent in other disciplines.
    • Women’s Singles: Chiba Mone (Japan) topped the podium, while North American skaters kept the competition fierce.
    • Pairs: Canada’s own Deanna Stellato-Dudek & Maxime Deschamps claimed gold, proving why they’re world champions.
    • Ice Dance: Piper Gilles & Paul Poirier delivered a stunning free dance to secure first place, with fellow Canadians Marjorie LaJoie & Zachary Lagha close behind. [olympics.com]
