The skating community across British Columbia and the Yukon continues to show just how much talent, dedication and passion exists on the West Coast! From Vancouver Island to the Okanagan and the Lower Mainland, skaters have been busy preparing for another exciting competitive season.
Recent BC/YT Standouts
The 2026 BC/YT Super Series Summerskate, held August 13–16 at Scotia Barn in Burnaby, brought together skaters from throughout the province and Yukon region.
Some of the recent standout results include:

- Senior Men: Aleksa Rakic — Champs International Skating Centre of BC
- Junior Women: Gabrielle Jugnauth — Kelowna Figure Skating Club, Okanagan

- Novice Women: Blaire Li — Champs International Skating Centre of BC
- Novice Men: Parsons Li — Connaught Skating Club, BC
- Pre-Novice Women: Annika Pobran — Coquitlam Skating Club, BC
- Pre-Novice Men: Charles Prothero-Brooks — Racquet Club of Victoria, Vancouver Island
- Juvenile Women U14: Helena Sun — Champs International Skating Centre of BC
These results highlight the incredible depth of talent coming from communities across the province, including Vancouver, Victoria, Burnaby, Kelowna, Coquitlam and the Fraser Valley.
The 2025–26 BC/YT Super Series season also saw Uliana Shiryaeva, Wesley Chiu, Calissa Adlem, William Chan, Ruby Blake, Joah Park, Julien Mok and Elmira Tagiev capture Super Series titles in their respective categories.

The new season is already getting underway, with some fantastic competitions coming up across Canada.
September 16–19 — International Adult Figure Skating Competition
📍 Vernon, BC
Kal Tire Place will welcome hundreds of adult skaters from Canada and around the world, competing in singles, pairs, ice dance and synchronized skating.
October 1–4 — BC/YT Super Series Autumn Leaves
📍 Chilliwack, BC
This popular BC/YT competition will help launch the regular competitive season and bring skaters together at the Sardis Sports Complex.
October 30–November 1 — Skate Canada International
📍 Kelowna, BC
One of the biggest skating events in Canada returns to the Okanagan! Prospera Place will host more than 50 elite athletes from Canada and around the world as part of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series.
