If you are planning a trip across the U.S.–Canada border or from other provinces to visit Cyclone Taylor Figure Skates in Vancouver, there is an important time-zone change taking place in British Columbia this fall.

British Columbia Is Ending the Seasonal Clock Change

On November 1, 2026, British Columbia will not turn its clocks back one hour as it normally would.

Most of B.C. is moving to permanent Pacific Time (UTC−7) year-round. This means British Columbia will no longer switch between Pacific Standard Time and Pacific Daylight Time.

What This Means for Our Customers?

For customers travelling from Washington, Oregon or California, our outside the province of BC, please pay particular attention to the time difference after November 1.

During the U.S. winter period, when these states return to Pacific Standard Time, British Columbia will be one hour ahead of the U.S. Pacific Coast.

For example:
10:00 AM in Seattle, Washington
→ 11:00 AM in Vancouver, B.C.

This can be especially important if you are planning your trip around:

• Our store hours
• Border crossing times
• Appointments or skate fittings
• Public transportation
• Competition or skating schedules
• Hotel check-in times
• Returning across the border

We recommend checking the local Vancouver time before beginning your trip, particularly if you are travelling from the U.S. and have a specific appointment or store visit planned.

We look forward to welcoming our American and out-of-province skating friends to Vancouver!
